Your fit will take place at The Bike Shop’s cental location at 801 11 Ave SW, in the upstairs fitting room.
Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early so that your fitter can start promptly, and to ensure you get the full
benefit of your appointment time. If you are going to be late please call the store at (403) 264-0735 to
let us know. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may have to reschedule to avoid overlapping
appointments.

Please bring your bicycle, pedals, shoes, a water bottle, and your normal cycling clothing to the fit.
Tighter fitting clothing allows more accurate measurement with our motion capture camera. If you have
more than one saddle or stem that you are considering, please bring those as well. Cyclists with
aerobars or integrated handlebars should bring any extra pieces or adapters they own to allow position
changes. Cyclists with full suspension mountain bikes should bring their normal clothing and gear they
will use on the trail including repair kits and full hydration packs, as weight affects suspension sag, and
thus saddle placement.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please email care@intrinsi.ca for more information

Mark is passionate about everything to do with endurance sports - whether it’s swimming, cycling, or running, Mark loves to help people perform at their best. As a four-time Ironman and five time marathon finisher, Mark’s background in racing helps him to understand the complexities around long-distance events. Physiotherapy is Mark’s second career - after spending time working on a trading floor in downtown Calgary, he discovered physio after running his way into multiple injuries and witnessing the benefits of seeing a professional first-hand.

His approach to treatment primarily consists of exercise mixed with hands-on techniques like manual therapy or dry needling as appropriate. Education is a cornerstone of his practice, and he wants every person to walk away from a session understanding exactly what the issue is, how to treat it, and what the timeline for recovery looks like. He strives to centre his sessions around each person’s goals, helping them work towards goals that are meaningful to them.

After graduating from the University of Alberta’s Master of Science in Physical Therapy program, Mark pursued further education in dry needling techniques as well as completing the BikeFit Canada Level 1 course. He is excited to help people find their perfect bike fit, whether for comfort, for performance, or to manage injury.

Outside of work, Mark spends his time chasing his two boys around the house or out and about on a bike.
